Passion Got You Here.
Training Gets You There.

Because animal care can't be taught in a lecture hall. LSeT is where the enclosure is the classroom and the animals are the curriculum.

About Us

Founded in 2021, LSeT is India's only residential institute for exotic animal care education. Built on a working farm in Bengaluru, we train skilled, ethical animal care professionals through immersive, hands-on learning guided by international expertise.

Mission

To close the gap between passion and profession in animal care — training skilled, ethical practitioners through immersive education grounded in the Five Freedoms of Animal Welfare.

Vision

A future where every zoo, sanctuary, and animal facility in India is staffed by professionally trained, welfare-first caregivers.

Values

We learn by doing. We put animals first. We hold ourselves to the highest standards of ethical practice. We believe that good animal care starts with good people — trained, committed, and ready for the real work.

Mr. Anil Garg

Our Founder

With over four decades of hands-on experience in animal care and management, Anil Garg has devoted his life to working directly with animals-not merely studying them, but living alongside them, understanding their behaviour, ensuring their welfare, and developing one of India's most diverse collections of flora and fauna. This unparalleled experience forms the very foundation of LSeT, shaping every facility, every training module, and every practical learning experience offered at the institute.

At LSeT, students are immersed in an environment created by a practitioner whose knowledge has been built through decades of real-world experience. Learning extends far beyond textbooks and classrooms, allowing students to observe, participate, and develop the practical skills required to excel in professional animal care.

His philosophy is both simple and transformative: the most effective way to train future animal care professionals is by placing them in direct contact with animals under expert guidance. Guided by this vision, LSeT was established as a working animal care and conservation facility where education is driven by daily practice. This unique approach provides students with an immersive, industry-oriented learning experience that sets LSeT apart as one of India's most distinctive institutions for animal care and management.

Student Testimonials

Mr.Mitesh Patel
Mr.Mitesh PatelHead Keeper / Assistant curator

Life Science Education Trust has been a true stepping stone in my professional journey. My vision, discipline, and understanding of animal care have developed over a period of time while being trained and shaped through the organization. My journey started from the keeper level and gradually progressed through responsibilities as Farm Manager, Head Keeper, and now Assistant Curator. This growth was not only about my designation, but about continuous learning, practical exposure, responsibility, and commitment toward animals and institutional development. LSET gave me the platform to understand animal husbandry, zoo operations, enrichment planning, behavioural management, welfare-based care, staff coordination, and ground-level problem solving. The training and exposure I received helped me develop a practical and welfare-focused approach toward modern zoo management. I have seen LSET grow in front of me, and at the same time, I have grown with it. The organization has played an important role in shaping my professional values, confidence, leadership, and vision toward animal welfare and conservation. My journey with LSET has also become a source of motivation and inspiration for many young individuals who aspire to work with animals. It reflects that with dedication, patience, hands-on learning, and the right guidance, one can grow from the ground level and contribute meaningfully to the zoological field. I will always consider LSET as one of the most important foundations of my career, where my passion for animals was strengthened, my vision was developed, and my professional journey was given direction. To be a globally recognized center of excellence in animal care, wildlife management, conservation, and life science education.
